All the AC-powered electric fence chargers that we offer are designed to plug directly into a 120-110-volt AC outlet. All are low-impedance electric fence chargers, and all are UL listed. All of these electric fence chargers produce sufficient voltage under normal conditions to shock deer. However, the power of the shock they can administer varies a good deal. Suitable uses for specific chargers are noted in the individual charger descriptions and also in our Table of Chargers for Specific Animals and Situations. Besides dealing with deer, this table provides data on chargers suited to fencing horses, guarding campsites, containing cattle and other livestock, and protecting properties against wild animals including javelinas, feral pigs, wolves, mountain lions, bears, and bison.
