Parmak Fieldmaster 2 (FM-2) Low Impedance Electric Fence Charger, UL Listed, 0.75 Joules
Parmak’s Fieldmaster 2 is capable of excluding deer with a baited deer fence. So long as one is using a single 12.5 gauge galvanized steel wire with perfect connections as one’s electric fence, the Fieldmaster 2 is capable of charging up to 15 miles of electric fence. Voltage data: Parmak states that the FM-2 puts out 10,500 volts on an open circuit and is good at handling weeds—so good that a minor (500 ohm) weed burden will only reduce the deer fence line voltage to about 6,700 volts, and a heavy weed burden providing a 100-ohm path to the ground will still leave some 3,500 volts on the line. Joule range: The FM-2 is rated by us at approximately 0.75 joules. Other animals: The FM-2 is useful for containing dogs and protecting gardens against small animals. General data: The FM-2 features advanced solid-state circuitry, fuse protection with built-in lightning arrestors, color coded positive and ground terminals, a flashing light that indicates when the electric fence charger and its immediate connections are working properly, and a one-year warranty against defects and lightning damage.
